BlackBerry App development different for phones & tabs

BlackBerry Smartphone and blackberry tabs may belong to same Company but they have enormous differences. Therefore, a BlackBerry application developed for a Smartphone will not be suitable to run on other handheld devices.

The basic difference lies in the operating system. BlackBerry Smartphones are based upon their own operating system and the tablets are available with QNX Neutrino RTOS. This operating system is expected to come on the phones also but there is some time for it. And even if it arrives, it won’t allow the same functional accuracy of the application on phone and tab.

BlackBerry Operating system is a simple setup with intuitive and fluid design, sleek visual, easy multitasking and fast browsing. The previous version of OS5 is operational on many handsets. BlackBerry application development is absolutely different for handsets and tablets owing to the difference in operating systems.
The user interface is also entirely different. Mobile application technology may be somewhat similar to tablet application technology but the applications portrays differently on two different devices. User interface plays a vital role in the application development and display.

Developers are aware of the technology changes in the phones and tablets. They can develop the same application for both handheld devices but the development procedure will remain different. Coding and development technique are also done separately for the two. It is like running applications for two different operating systems. BlackBerry app development needs complete coordination amongst the different development activities. And this is possible through separate planning, designing, developing, quality testing and deploying of the application.
